EAGLE HEIGHTS WILDLIFE PARK
Eagle Heights is situated in Eynsford, Kent, overlooking the village itself with views over the Darent Valley. We opened the centre in 1996, initially with around 30 birds. Our exciting displays and wonderful surroundings soon became popular and the centre rapidly expanded, now housing between 150 - 200 birds at any one time.
In the last three years we have been hard at work turnning Eagle Heights from a Bird of Prey centre in to a wildlife park so we now have a newly built reptile house and now have various mammals on display, including meerkats, asian short clawed otters, coatimundis, north amrican purcupine, camels and cheetahs.
Facilities at the centre include a tea room, serving both hot and cold food. Indoor and outdoor aviaries, a large indoor lecture room (so if its rain were still flying), 2 large show arena, play area and shop. We also have educational/teaching facilities including a classroom. The centre is fully accessible to the Disabled.
For those interested in our conservational work we also have a bird hospital, including our own anaesthetic machine and other medical facilities. We also breed many birds of prey, have an extensive range of incubation, rearing facilities and we have rescued lot of wild birds of prey and reptiles.
New for 2008, we have started rasing money for the CHEETAH CONSERVATION FUND based in Namibia with the arrivel of our 2 cheetahs and our male cheetah run in a show to rase money for the charity.
